Guitar Tuner - Chromatic App Reviews

Works most of the time

It will work for a couple strings or so of tunings. Then when I change to a different string it wont recognize that I had switched from G to D string, for example. I wont exactly call it frozen. I just give my guitar one big open string strum, and it works again. Just like a slap...except with sound. Hey, for something free and handy, its kinda cool. You have no idea how many times someones approuched me with, "Hey, by any chance, do you have a tuner with you?". And I felt bad because I didnt.

Exactly....

What I needed!!!! Thank you.

Brushfifksmck best chromatic guitar tuner out .

Best free one

This is the best and only free guitar tuner that works like a team tuner and knows what note youre playing, can filter out background noise and Just Works! Thank you!

Better that my clamp on tuner

I have several guitars, basses and ukuleles. This is just as good if not better than any of the tuners I have. Best part: no batteries to replace .

Stupid app

This app is the worst guitar tuner ever!

Crap

Not worth space nor time.

Not bad...

But what use is a guitar tuner that thinks the high E string is a B? Unless it works accurately its pointless.

Way off

Is sharp half a step when compared to two of my real tuners

What Ive done with it to this point, I love it. Very simple to use.

Jumps all over the place.

It simply cannot tune a guitar.

Crashes

Freezes all the time

Dont download

Useless. Will not tune my A string. I have to borrow someone elses tuner when we want to play.

Not so good any more

No longer recommended! The latest revision of this app removes what was the best feature of this tuner: its dual dial display. The new display is twitchy and harder to read, so its no longer easy to get a precise tuning on your instrument. Ill be deleting this app and looking for a better one. Too bad. Old review: Works well, responsive, precise, with an easy to interpret display. It has an ad promoting their other apps, and an advertising strip along the bottom of the screen, but it isnt too obtrusive. The problem that some reviewers experienced, displaying a G as a D, or displaying an E as a B, is common to electronic tuners -- the tuner is latching on to a note a fifth above, responding to the harmonics of the string rather than its fundamental. The tuner still works: center the needle and the note will be in tune. Its just the note identification feature that is making the wrong choice. And the error, if any, will always be exactly a fifth -- it wont mislead you by displaying a note off by a semitone or two. Not ideal, but youll see it in lots of electronic tuners, and it doesnt really affect the utility of the app -- even a tin ear can tell if the note is off by a fifth!

Difficult to use

The fluctuations on the scale moves too fast and isnt very accurate..it works sometimes but makes the tuning process longer

Great app

Easy to use, no hassle. Just what I needed.

Worked As Advertised

Wanted a simple tuner that would use my iPhone mic to ensure my Baby Taylor was in tune while I am on the road hold-up in hotels rooms. Worked like a charm. Sir A m4G

Beds tuner

None of the free tuners are as good as this one
