No longer recommended! The latest revision of this app removes what was the best feature of this tuner: its dual dial display. The new display is twitchy and harder to read, so its no longer easy to get a precise tuning on your instrument. Ill be deleting this app and looking for a better one. Too bad.
Old review:
Works well, responsive, precise, with an easy to interpret display. It has an ad promoting their other apps, and an advertising strip along the bottom of the screen, but it isnt too obtrusive.
The problem that some reviewers experienced, displaying a G as a D, or displaying an E as a B, is common to electronic tuners -- the tuner is latching on to a note a fifth above, responding to the harmonics of the string rather than its fundamental. The tuner still works: center the needle and the note will be in tune. Its just the note identification feature that is making the wrong choice. And the error, if any, will always be exactly a fifth -- it wont mislead you by displaying a note off by a semitone or two. Not ideal, but youll see it in lots of electronic tuners, and it doesnt really affect the utility of the app -- even a tin ear can tell if the note is off by a fifth!
